What is an ATS, and why does it reject good candidates?

An applicant tracking system is the software employers use to collect, parse, and filter applications. When you apply online, your CV is usually read by the ATS first: it pulls out your skills, titles, dates, and keywords, then ranks you against the job description. If the parser can't read your layout, or your CV is missing the keywords the role calls for, you can be filtered out before a recruiter ever opens it — no matter how qualified you are.

What this checker looks at

Keyword match to the specific job posting you paste in; parseability (clear sections and standard headings the ATS can actually read); quantified impact (numbers and outcomes, not vague duties); relevant skills and strong action verbs for the role; and clarity of format (dates, roles, and contact details the parser expects).

Fixing the score is the point

Seeing an ATS score is useful. Actually clearing the filter is what gets you interviews. A generic CV blasted to every job will always struggle, because each posting asks for different things. SuitedX rebuilds your CV and writes a cover letter tailored to each specific job, then runs it through a simulated HR Screener, Team Lead, and Claim Validator before you send.
